About the Organization

Ranweli is considered an example of a property built more than 25 years ago for traditional “sun, sea and sand,” which has completely transformed itself to become a model of environmental leadership and practice. The property was constructed in 1975 with 100% local material on the concept of a Sri Lankan village. It was refurbished in 1996 to the standard of an international eco tourism facility and developed to provide facilities to offer an authentic soft-adventure experience, together with comfortable and rustic accommodation in idyllic surroundings. Our Mission is to create an upmarket Eco tourism product as our contribution and commitment to sustainable tourism and eco tourism in Sri Lanka.
