Airlie Conference Center has provided a uniquely stimulating environment for the creative exchange of ideas for nearly half a century. Airlie Center’s commitment to the environment is reflected in the wide range of green initiatives that make up the Center’s Pollution Prevention Program. This program develops and implements sustainable business practices that will help to minimize the impact of the Center’s operations on the environment.

Airlie pays careful attention to the delicate balance between the natural environment and its conference operations. This environmental commitment is reflected in a wide range of green initiatives. Some of these include: recycling and a linen and towel reuse program, organic culinary garden, energy efficient lighting, and non-toxic biodegradable cleaning products. Airlie holds environmental certification from Green Seal’s Environmental Lodging Program and the Virginia Environmental Excellence Program.
