At the tip of the South American continent, in the heart of Patagonia at Torres del Paine National Park (Chile), lies Patagonia EcoCamp. Here you’ll find dramatic mountain formations covered with glaciers, lakes, fjords, ancient forests, and incredibly varied wildlife. This area offers some of the most magnificent walks and impressive sights in the Southern Hemisphere! Enjoy the beautiful lakes filled with birds, migrating flocks of geese, herds of guanacos, fields of flowers, and forests of dwarfed, wind-twisted trees. EcoCamp was built in 2001, was the first EcoLodge south of the Amazon, and the only EcoLodge in Patagonia! Guests enjoy maximum exposure to nature and its elements, with the highest level of comfort allowed by sustainable development in a fragile environment.

EcoCamp was designed to maintain the nomadic spirit of the ancient Kawesqar inhabitants. The people lived in harmony with “Mother Nature” and built their huts out of wood, furs and leathers, all organic materials they found on site. Ecocamp is a tribute to Kawesqar dwellings and their way of life.

Includes: lodging for 2 people, for 3 nights in Eco Camp Las Torres Luxury Camp, full board and all inclusive service from P. Arenas. Trips depart every Sunday (October 1, 2008 – April 15th, 2009) and are subject to availability. This trip is also suitable for travelers continuing onto Argentina or heading to Antarctica. Note: this trip can be made suitable for any nature sensitive traveler not necessarily fit to walk.

The hotel is portable, so there is little trace of human presence on site; the terrain is allowed to recover after each season.
